When we began to think about retirement, knowing that we both are very active and young at heart people, we knew we wanted to have something to do that would appeal to our personal nature’s and be an enjoyable way to spend time after our working days were over.
Over the years raising our large family we took many vacations. Staying at B&Bs’s and Lodges made our weekend getaway’s and adventures more affordable, not to mention memorable experiences. We decided that we wanted to open our very own Bed and Breakfast so we could share with people the very same things that made us so happy during times away from home over the years.
Ten years ago in August of 2006 we bought the Inn and began our renovations. Our entire family pitched in their time and effort to bring our dream to fruition. What an amazing energy that we created together and today, the Inn shows it with a warm & inviting feeling.
The most rewarding part of this business is seeing the people pleased with their lodgings, reading the reviews after they have come and gone, but more to the heart of the matter, knowing that we created exactly what it was that made our family so joyful after a weekend stay at an amazing B&B.
Our “Home away from Home” feeling is genuine and we have extended it as well, into an Event Venue. Whether you are staying for an evening, a weekend, a week, or renting the Inn for your Birthday, Shower, Open House, Retirement, Wedding, Business Seminar, or family holidays, we know that you will find our Inn a wonderful place for celebrations and relaxing alike.
The thing we didn’t count on was the amazing feeling of truly connecting with our guests. The plaque that hangs in our front entry “Enter as a Stranger, Leave as a Friend” has remained true through the years and we have lovely people who return year after year. Those moments chatting over breakfast, or helping a guest plan their life events are what we treasure most.
Our retirement business has turned out to be much more fulfilling and enjoyable than we could have ever imagined. We are very grateful to those who have helped us make the Inn a success: Our Family, Our Guests, and the Local people in our area who support our decade long retirement venture.
We look forward to getting to know you as well. Please do contact us to book our Inn for your next vacation, or to have us help you host your event. We look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you,
Don & Rhonda Stull
